WHO WE ARE

Born from a belief that everyone deserves the chance to live a healthy life,

NOVA Hope is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to expanding access to quality health care for underprivileged and rural communities in Africa. Our story began with a simple but powerful belief - that healthcare is a fundamental human right, not a privilege.

Guided by a team of dedicated health professionals, volunteers, and global partners, we work to ensure that financial barriers never stand between a person and the care they deserve. Through our initiatives, partnerships, and global outreach, we serve as a bridge connecting compassionate hearts with communities in need.

Our vision is to create a world where those in need have access to the care they deserve to live healthy, hopeful, and fulfilling lives. With every hand that joins ours, we take one step closer to building a healthier future for the next generation.

Together, we turn compassion into action

At NOVA Hope, we believe that health care is a fundamental human right, not a privilege. Therefore, through our initiatives, we work to break down the barriers that keep vulnerable communities from receiving the care they need.

02

At NOVA, our mission goes beyond providing medical assistance. We strive to turn compassion into action by joining hands with changemakers like you- the ones with the power to make a difference.

FOUNDER | PRESIDENT

DR. OBED K. AGYEI

From an early age in Ghana, West Africa, I witnessed the profound impact that compassionate medical care can have on individuals and communities. This early exposure to medicine fueled my passion for healthcare and led me to pursue my undergraduate studies at North Carolina State University, where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology with a minor in Health, Medicine, and Human Values.

I continued my medical training at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro, NC, where I completed my Internal Medicine Residency. My journey then led me to Lankenau Medical Center in Wynnewood, PA, where I pursued a fellowship in Hematology and Oncology. These experiences deepened my commitment to patient-centered care and reinforced my belief in the power of medicine to transform lives.

Beyond clinical practice, I have a strong passion for global health and medical missions. I have been privileged to participate in mission trips to Mexico, Panama, Guatemala, Trinidad & Tobago, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and Ghana, providing care to under-served populations and gaining a broader perspective on healthcare challenges worldwide.

I am deeply committed to delivering compassionate, evidence-based care to my patients while also striving to make a meaningful impact on global health initiatives. Whether in the hospital or the field, my mission remains the same—to bring hope, healing, and high-quality care to those who need it most.
